Unveiling the Impact of Resolution on SAR Imagery: A Study by Sisir Radar

At Sisir Radar, we investigated the effect of resolution on the appearance of SAR images in the video. We processed the X band image, captured by our Droneborne X SAR with a range resolution of 0.6 m. However, we processed the data with two different azimuth resolutions i.e., at 1.7 m and 0.6 m. The finer resolution image appears to be much more smoother, as if it has been speckle filtered and the feature continuity is easily identifiable.
