Sisir Radar’s P-band Drone SAR achieved a flawless test flight on 27th February, proving its design maturity against man-made RF interference. Comparing the highest-resolution P-band SAR imagery with Google Earth data, the test revealed unexpected visibility of high-voltage pylons and potential ground penetration beyond vegetation cover. These insights reaffirm P-band SAR’s deep-penetration capabilities, opening new frontiers in remote sensing and earth observation. #SisirRadar #PBandSAR #HighestResolution #DeepPenetration #NextGenRadar
Sisir Radar’s P-band Drone SAR has captured a high-resolution polarimetric image of West Bengal’s landscapes, revealing maturing Rabi crops and fish farming ponds. The image highlights the P-band’s superior foliage penetration, with minimal green signatures from crops but strong blue (ground/inclined surfaces) and red (tree trunks) reflections. As we fine-tune the system to counter RF interference, the results continue to prove P-band SAR’s unmatched capability in deep-penetration imaging. #SisirRadar #PBandSAR #UnmatchedResolution #SARInnovation
A glimpse of Sisir Radar at Aero India 2025, where key defence and space leaders visited the India Pavilion to explore cutting-edge SAR technology. Among the distinguished guests were Dr Chandrika Kaushik (DG, DRDO), Former CNS Admiral Karambir Singh, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Lt. Gen. N.S. Raja Subramani (Vice Chief of Army), ISRO SDSC Director Shri Rajarajan, and industry leaders like Col. Shankar (Alpha Design) and Shri Ganesh Nibe (CMD, NIBE Limited). Proud to showcase the world’s first and highest-resolution L+P band SAR satellite for the Indian Air Force, reinforcing Sisir Radar’s commitment to advancing defence, surveillance, and space technology.
Sisir Radar is honoured to have former ISRO – Indian Space Research Organization Chairman S. Somnath with us on Day 3 of Aero India 2025 at the India Pavilion. We are proud to showcase the world’s first and highest-resolution L+P band SAR satellite, launching for the Indian Air Force. Driving the future of space innovation with disruptive SAR technology, we continue to push the boundaries of radar excellence. #sisirradar #unmatched #resolution #SAR #satellites
Sisir Radar’s P-band SAR unlocks a new dimension in remote sensing by penetrating dense foliage and revealing what lies beneath. Through polarimetric decomposition, we analyse L-band and P-band SAR images over the same area at different crop growth stages. While L-band SAR captures reflections from vegetation, P-band SAR cuts through thick foliage, exposing ground and subsurface details. This cutting-edge capability has game-changing applications in agriculture, forestry, archaeology, and defence, reinforcing Sisir Radar’s leadership in advanced SAR technology.
Following the release of our single polarisation image, we now present the full set—H Received, V Received, and Polarimetric representation of the world’s highest resolution P-band SAR image. Our SAR system employs Hybrid Polarimetry, transmitting in circular polarisation and receiving in both vertical and horizontal channels. These images reveal remarkable details, showcasing the power of our cutting-edge technology. Additionally, we share a glimpse of our drone-borne P-band SAR, captured just after landing.
