Sisir Radar’s Polarimetric L-band SAR data, collected from 1st to 9th April 2025 across 22 datasets, has been overlaid on Google Earth, highlighting the system’s exceptional geometric precision and radiometric consistency in real-world terrain mapping.
Sisir Radar is conducting repeated drone flights over similar terrains to refine operating conditions for its upcoming space-borne L and P band SAR constellation. Preliminary findings reveal strong foliage penetration at low incidence angles, balanced structural returns up to 30°, and increasing foliage dominance beyond, offering valuable insights into polarimetric behaviour.
